Measurement accuracy
Accuracy describes agreement with a reference. State what is being compared, the conditions, the distance scale and how the check was made.
Precision and repeatability
Repeatability describes how closely repeated observations agree. They can agree with one another while sharing a systematic offset from the reference.
Density and spacing
Point rate and grid spacing describe sampling. They do not establish positional accuracy. Occlusion, range and motion also affect what is observed.
Local and global positioning
Local geometry and alignment to a site or geographic frame answer different questions. GPS fusion or survey control can support positioning, but outputs still need checks appropriate to the project.
